The Ting Tings will go head-to-head with Britney Spears at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, it has been announced.The UK pop duo are amongst the video of the year nominees for "Shut Up And Let Me Go" at the event, which takes place in Los Angeles next month.The nominees were chosen by viewers at MTV.com and also include Britney's "Piece Of Me", Pussycat Dolls' "When I Grow Up" and Jonas Brothers' "Burnin' Up'".This is the second nomination for the band, who were also selected for the best UK video category, alongside Duffy, Coldplay, Estelle and Leona Lewis.This year's MTV Video Music Awards will be presented by Russell Brand.
