Cut-price Metallica

(Friday August 22, 2008 11:32 AM)

Metallica will donate all the proceeds from their upcoming London and Berlin shows to charity, they have revealed.

The rock titans play a pair of comeback dates next month in support of new album "Death Magnetic".

Ticket prices for the fundraising concerts were announced today and will be sold to fanclub members at "retro" figures.

In a statement, Metallica explained: "Because this is a celebration, tickets prices will be, shall we say, 'retro?'

"Only ten Euros for Berlin, five pounds in London! And the best part is that all the proceeds from the sale of tickets will be donated to local charities."

The band play the O2 Arena, London, on September 15 and O2 World in Berlin three days before to coincide with the release of "Death Magnetic".
