Johnny Marr, former guitar player with The Smiths, has joined The Cribs on a permanent basis.Talking to BBC 6 Music Marr explained the decision."It's totally inspiring as a guitar player because they're my favourite band that I've heard in a long time and I'm still a fan, you know."Marr has previously collaborated with the Wakefield act in the studio, appearing on their forthcoming new album.It seems his joining The Cribs full-time is a natural extension of that."We don't really have to be told by the press or by record companies, or by management or anything like that that we have to do something really great," Marr asserted.
