New Zeppelin recordings

(Wednesday August 27, 2008 11:01 AM)

Led Zeppelin have been working on new material without Robert Plant, drummer Jason Bonham has revealed.

The rock legends reformed for a one-off show at the O2 Arena in London last year and rumours about more shows have continued to circulate ever since.

Bonham, who has taken over from father John in the band, has now revealed that he has been involved in a series of recording sessions.

However, he told Detroit radio station 94.7 WCSX that "lots of politics" are standing in the way of a full reunion.

"I've been working with Jimmy and John Paul and trying some new material. I don't know what it will be, but it will be something.

"At the moment, all I know is I have the great pleasure to go and jam with the two guys and start work on some material", explained Bonham.

He also suggested that a new album "is on the cards" but will only happen once Zeppelin "iron out" the many issues within the group.
