Paedophile singer Gary Glitter is to fight an application for an order that will require him to register as a sex offender, his solicitor told a court.
David Corker, representing the former Seventies glam rock star, told a district judge that his client claimed his conviction for abusing two young girls in Vietnam was a "travesty of justice" brought about by "unfair trial".
Mr Corker was addressing Uxbridge Magistrates' Court, in west London, at a hearing where the Metropolitan Police was applying for a notification order that requires Glitter to sign the sex offenders register just hours after he arrived back in Britain on a flight from Bangkok.
