Snow Patrol will release a new album later this year.
The band will issue "A Hundred Suns" through Fiction/Polydor on October 27.
A single, "Take Back The City", will precede that on October 13.
"I'm so proud of this record," said frontman Gary Lightbody.
"Everybody played out of their skin. Musically, lyrically and sonically it's the best record we've made."
The band's fifth studio album was recorded this summer in Berlin's Hansa Studios, where David Bowie committed his revered 'Berlin Trilogy' of "Low", "Heroes" and "The Lodger" to tape.
Produced by Jacknife Lee, the record is the follow-up to 2006's platinum-selling effort "Eyes Open".
