Arctic Monkeys are on the brink of buying a pub in their Sheffield hometown, according to reports.
Drummer Matt Helders and former bass player Andy Nicholson have located a property, which will open to the public next month.
The Bowery is expected to provide a space for the band to socialise in when they are in the city in which they grew up.
Helders is also planning to use the building as a base for his clothing range, Supreme Being, while Nicholson will run it.
A Monkeys' 'source' explained: "Matt and Andy have had their eye on setting up a pub for ages. When the property came on the market they had to have it.
"It's perfect, Matt puts in most of the money and Andy can DJ there and manage it when Matt is off touring. All the lads can relax there and bring their mates."
As reported yesterday, Arctic Monkeys are expected to travel to America shortly to begin work on their new album with Josh Homme, of Queens Of The Stone Age.
