Kelly Clarkson has entered the record books in the US chart with new single "My Life Would Suck Without You".
The "American Idol" winner has jumped more places than any other act in music history on the US Billboard Hot 100.
The track has gone from number 97 to 1 after selling around 280,000 digital-downloads in its first week on-sale.
It is the second time in her brief pop career that Clarkson has broken the record, after her debut single, "A Moment Like This", leapt 50 places in 2002.
Clarkson's new album, "All I Ever Wanted", is due for release in March.
