Paul McCartney is one of the special guests to appear on the new album from Cat Stevens, it has been revealed.
The former Beatle features on the song "Boots & Sand", which is amongst the artist's first set of non-religious songs in nearly 30 years.
Stevens now works under the name Yusef and says the Macca collaboration was inspired by events after 9/11, including being barred from entering the US in 2004.
"It's a slight oddity of a song", he explained. "The image I had was kind of a cowboy B-movie made in Italy, but the story came from real events, real people."
Yusef's currently untitled new record is due for release later this year and also features Dolly Parton.
