Etta James has spoken of her pride at Beyonce choosing one of her songs to celebrate the inauguration of Barack Obama this week.
The 70-year-old soul legend was not able to be in attendance at the historic event in Washington DC on Tuesday.
However, the new President and First Lady Michelle took their first dance at the Neighborhood Inaugural Ball to Beyonce's cover of "At Last".
The James original was first released in 1961 and her son Donto has now revealed how touched his mother was by the decision.
"She was looking forward to seeing it. She was honoured (and) she thought it was great", he told the New York Daily News.
"She's gotten emotional, just like everybody else", said Donto, following Obama's ascension to the White House.
