Metallica are to become the first band in rock history to simultaneously release their new album on "Guitar Hero".As previously reported, the US rock titans have now completed the follow-up to "St Anger", which is called "Death Magnetic".In a posting on their official website, they confirmed the album and video game will come out at exactly the same time.The band said they are "psyched" by the innovation, which will see fans able to play along to the new material as soon as it comes out.In the statement, Metallica said "Death Magnetic" will be "ready to go once 'Guitar Hero: World Tour' hits the streets in the fall."Who knows, maybe a few years from now this will be the norm when your favourite band's new record comes out", they commented.
