Lost Beatles Interview to Air on BBC Radio

In April 1964, the Beatles' Paul McCartney and John Lennon did an interview together at the Scottish Television Studios, during which they told of meeting for the first time and of their songwriting partnership. Now, after a man discovered the lost tape in the South London garage where it had been for the last 44 years, the British Broadcasting Corp. will air the nine-minute interview on BBC Radio 4 today and later this week.The Associated Press reports that it was film fan Richard Jeffs who discovered the tape and that experts were surprised to find its quality so well-preserved. The tape features Lennon telling of meeting McCartney in Liverpool.
