Girls Aloud reveal future

(Friday February 13, 2009 06:04 PM)

Girls Aloud have signed a new deal with their record label, which will see them release three more albums.

The news appears to put paid to persistent reports that the iconic pop act are on the brink of splitting.

Earlier this week, it was claimed Cheryl Cole was considering launching a solo career, following the success of her judging turn on the "X-Factor".

But Girls Aloud's label, Fascination, an offshoot of Polydor, today confirmed they have extended the agreement.

Their next record, a follow-up to last year's "Out Of Control", will be the band's fifth studio release and is due out in 2010.
