Mary J. Blige is being sued for $2 million by a company that claims she stole music featured on her latest album. The Drama Family Entertainment company believe that “Work That”, a track from Blige’s “Growing Pains” opus, was written by a producer who worked for them at the time.A lawyer from Drama Family Entertainment told the New York Daily News that the company “owned the music yet the music was used without permission in a Mary J. Blige release recording.”As well as featuring on the album, the track was used on an iPod advert, though the suit doesn’t name Apple Inc. as transgressors of copyright law.The producer – one Theron ‘NEEF-U’ Feemster - has also worked with rapper Young Buck.
